ada sat indian style on the school steps, headphones in her ears as she waited for her mother to pick her up. But as usual, she was running late, about an hour to be exact. Probably doing some co-worker in the bathroom, ada bitterly thought to herself. she sighed and ran a hand through her hair as she looked around. there were still several kid hanging around but unlike her they were in groups. being the only one alone sucked. she hated the looks she was receiving from some of them and ignored it. she pretended like it didn't bother her but it did. she clicked the home button on her ipod to pick a more upbeat song. ada definitely needed it right now.
 
xander was a part of one of those groups of people still hanging around. A lot of kids were eager to get home since it was Friday but xander was in no hurry. the place he went back to each day wasn't home and it never would be. he liked to be in his foster home as little as possible so here he was still around the #2 place he hated. xander lit up a cigarette and pretended to listen to this blond chick's story about some other girl. he had no interest in the story but if he acted like he cared, he'd be able to get in her pants. he needed something to do to pass the time anyway

Name; ada mcandrew
Age; seventeen
Biography/Character study; ada and her mother moved to thompson when she was just 2 years old. she never knew her father and her mother never told her who he was. if she even knew who it was. her mother was known for being, for lack of a better word, a w.hore. ada's childhood was filled with several dozen men walking in and out of her house all hours of the night. some of them even married. because of her mothers reputation she had trouble in school. many of the mothers of kids didn't want ada around their kids because of her mothers home-wrecking ways. she learned how to entertain herself, being alone was normal for her. she was quite smart and books became her savior. but once puberty hit, ada inherited the body her mother was constantly get in trouble for. in high school, she relished the attention she got from boys who before stayed far away from her. at the age of fifteen she lost her virginity and became known as the school s,lut. like mother, like daughter. grades slipped and to her horror she became pregnant. of course her mother made her get an abortion and no one ever found out. after the incident ada withdrew into herself, no longer the outgoing friendly girl she once was. but the damage was already done and it was too late to change her reputation. even though she had changed her ways she still was called a s,lut or easy from other kids. now she concentrates on just flying under the radar and getting good enough grades so she can leave thompson. and she definitely won't look back.

Fears/Secrets; there were times when ada was younger that some of the men her mother brought home tried something with ada too. her mother never believed her and now she has terrible nightmares about it. also last year she had an abortion that only her mother knows about.

Name; xander grayson
Age; seventeen
Biography/Character study; xander is the kid who would pull the fire alarm and never get caught in the act. but everyone would know its him anyway. he was constantly getting kicked out of class for being a smarta,ss or making something blow up. the principals office was like a second home for him. god knows, his real home was in shambles. xander's father was a retired ex-boxer who went from beating people in the ring to beating his family. his mother usually got the worst of it, always trying to protect him. until xander got old enough to fight back. usually, he'd end up with a couple of bruises and scars but it was better than seeing his mother black and blue. xander was always there to intervene between his parents, sharing a strong hatred for his father and a strong protective love over his mother. yet, one day he wasn't there to save her. the police ruled her death a suicide but xander knew it was father's fault. it couldn't be proven since he left town the day after. xander was placed in foster care, where he mostly kept to himself, having a problem trusting anyone. he coped with his mothers death by heavily drinking and doing all kinds of drugs. another one of his favorite pastimes was hooking up with anything that walked. he's not the relationship type, just hit it and quit it. he doesn't open up to very many people, prefer causing trouble, sleeping around or drinking. but if you get to know him well enough you'd be surprised to find a rather sweet boy. but only if you're lucky.

Fears/Secrets; xander fears becoming exactly like his father because sometimes he gets into these moods where he becomes violent. in fact one time, he got into one of his moods and beat up a guy so badly he ended up in a wheelchair. after that he refused to fight unless in self defense, sick with guilt at what he done. he also plans to find his father once he's eighteen and get revenge.
